George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1937 for You Can’t Take it With You. A romantic comedy featuring a zany, unconventional New York family, it ran for 838 performances on Broadway and was (somewhat loosely) adapted into an Oscar-winning movie directed by Frank Capra. It’s one of the most-produced high school productions of all time.
