Art and Taste of Shabbat: Selections from the collection of Richard Rosenfield at the Old City Jewish Art Center

For forty years, Richard Rosenfeld built up a private collection of art work as he worked as an art dealer. His Rosenfield Gallery at 113 Arch Street was a stalwart of the Old City art gallery scene until its closure earlier this year. Now, Rosenfield gets the chance to be the center of an exhibition as the Old City Jewish Arts Center at 119 N 3rd Street presents “King in the Field”, a display featuring artwork from owner the dealer’s private collection.

“King in the Field” launches with a First Friday reception, beginning 5pm, August 7 2015. The reception is followed at 9PM by Taste of Shabbat, a traditional Shabbat dinner. Proceeds from sales of the artwork on display will benefit OCJAC. [Old City Jewish Arts Center, 119 N 3rd Street] August 7, 2015; ocjac.net.
