PHINDIE BIKE TOUR 2.0: Kensington Arts

bikeDid you miss out on Phindie’s first bike tour of the Fringe? If you weren’t on it, you can read all about it here and here. Participants received 30% off their tickets when they biked to 3, 4, or 5 Fringe shows in a day, and saw a wide range of Fringe performances.

Phindie is devoted to giving you the best experience of Philly’s performance arts. On November 8, 2014, join us for the Bike Tour 2.0, which will take viewers four miles outside of center city to experience the Near Northeast’s idiosyncratic, cutting edge arts!

  • Visit three of Kensington’s hottest art spaces: emerging artist-run collective Little Berlin, dance co-op Mascher, and dance/music curators/creators fidgetspace.
  • Receive special discounts and treats.
  • Take a pretty sweet bike ride with cool people.
  • No one else in the world does theater bike tours. Do it before it’s hip.

To sign up:

  1. Own, borrow, rent, or steal a bike. (Don’t steal one.)
  2. Email julius@phindie.com with Phindie Bike Tour in the subject line. Let him know what shows you want to see. You must sign up for at least two consecutive shows but we suggest seeing the whole lineup, which’ll cost you less than $35.
  3. Receive an online discount code and guidelines for the tour.
  4. Use that discount code to purchase your tickets.
  5. Show up at a pre-arranged location.

Tour schedule, Saturday, November 8, 2014:

  • Micromanias, a double-bill of neo-symbolist plays by Julius Ferraro and Manon Manavit: 4-5:30 pm
  • Fresh Juice: a show of current work by six artists-in-residence at Mascher Space Coop including Antonia Z. Brown, Almanac, Loren Groenendaal/Vervet Dance, and Nicole Bindler / The Dance Apocalypse. Includes juice! 7-8 pm
  • 5th Annual Fall Experimental Music Festival at <fidget>, curated by Thomas Patteson, exploring the “open work.” 8:30-10:00
