On the Top of the Tower, which gives you a 360 degree view of the city of Brotherly Love, BalletX celebrated its annual fundraiser. The Premier Party 2016 was sponsored by Arthur Kaplan and R. Duane Perry, Independence Foundation, CHG Charitable Trust, Anna Marie and Richard Grossman, and Jeanne Ruddy and Victor F. Keen, Moore Brothers Wine Company, Victory Brewing Company, Vista at Top of the Tower, and Pravda Vodka.

Among the elegantly dressed ladies and gents was the humble and peaceful smile of David Haas, one of the members of the board of directors of the William Penn Foundation and a critical supporter of Philadelphia arts and cultures.

After the cocktail reception, the company was introduced by Christine Cox, cofounder and artistic and executive director. The guests were led to a chic dining room, where the dancers exhibited five short pieces including an authentic Russian Cossack dance and excerpts of their repertoires. Then, the party heated up with the frantic auctions. Included among them was a once-in-life fairytale birthday party with one of the ballerinas for the lucky winner, or for their little princess.

The company’s BalletX Spring Series continues from April 20 through 24, presenting a virtual “greatest hits” panorama of the company’s 10 years of achievements along with another world premier by Kevin O’Day. The devoting directors and the passionate dancers with shiny eyes will certainly brings another groundbreaking and exciting performance to Philadelphia, and around the United States.
