Shhhh: Secret Show at the Painted Bride.

jen-cleary-secret-showThere’s not much I can tell you about the one-night performance at the Painted Bride Art Center on February 9, 2016. The content, performers, and format are a secret to the audience until the performance begins.

The show is part of a monthly “Secret Show” series at the Painted Bride. Each of these monthly events allows a local curator whom the Center has selected to organize a unique performance for a single evening. This month’s curator is Jen Cleary, a production manager, visual artist, and designer based in Kensington. An Emmy Award winning broadcast engineer and a Lucie Award winning photographer, Jen has worked in established theaters and non-traditional spaces all over the world, including shows at the David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center (New York City), Westergasfabriek (Amsterdam), and The Bethnal Green Men’s Working Club (London). Her local work includes collaborations with First Person Arts, Asian Arts Initiative, FringeArts, as well as previous work with the Painted Bride.

What does she have planned February 9? Well, you’ll just have to find out. Doors open at 6:30; show starts promptly at 7pm. Tickets $10.
